Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as cleaning the facility to preparing the church bulletins.  So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built. (Eph 4:11-12)

Evangelism & Outreach

Jesus came to seek and save the lost – He reached out.  Remnant Worship Center is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in outreach to our local community. We recently had “Trunk or Treat” and “Caroling and Cocoa” events to show God’s love to the members of the local and surrounding communities.  Outreach allows us to coordinate events that will possibly be the first opportunity for many people to experience Remnant.

Wow (First Impressions)

Greeters  —  Ushers —  Parking

Jesus made people feel welcome, “come unto me all who are weary.”  A person decides in the first 7-11 minutes of driving onto our property if they will come back to our church. When people come to our church they need to know where to go. Where to park; where the sanctuary is; where the Welcome Center is; etc. Parking attendants and greeters along with the reception by the church family need to show preferential treatment by parking and seating guests in special areas and making them feel welcome and accepted.

Shock & Awe (Tech & Arts)

Creative — Dance/Drama — Set Up Crew — Lighting Team — Camera Crew — LCD Projection/Computer Team — Product Team

The purpose of a Shock and Awe Team is to produce the finest, high tech, professional, and exciting worship service that makes the Work of God seen and heard with cutting edge applications.  No one blew people away more than Jesus (drawing in the dirt, spitting in the dirt, cursing the fig tree, Jesus never taught without a story). Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of this church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. We also maintain an active Facebook account for additional church communication.

Worship

Jesus: “They that worship me must worship in Spirit and in truth.”
God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music and drama ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir. Still others get involved in drama. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

Care & Followup

At least 3 times Jesus followed up on Peter.  We want to provide the love, acceptance, friendliness and compassion of Christ to the guest first and to all those who come through the church doors with the purpose of assimilating them into the life and ministry of the church.

Children & Nursery

Jesus: “Let the children come unto me.”  We want our children to know, grow, and show God’s love.  We are here to help win children to Christ, minister to their needs, encourage them to serve, and help them develop a real and personal relationship with Christ.

Student Ministry

The primary purpose for Remnant Student Ministry is to provide a safe, warm, and welcoming community where students get a sense of belonging, are nurtured in their faith and encouraged to live a life of discipleship.  Remnant is out to help our youth become disciples of Jesus so that they in turn can also make disciples of Jesus.  Matthew 28:19-20 says Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you.  And be sure of this:  I am with you always, even to the end of the age.  We are here to help each and every young person grow personally and spiritually.
